Appraisal
A formal PCT appraisal is no longer a mandatory requirement for ST3s. However, it is recommended that you provide an in house appraisal for your registrar before they leave the practice in order to prepare them for their ongoing careers. If your practice has a doctor who is an appraiser they are the ideal person to carry this out, if not it can be done by any doctor other than the trainer.
